This summer EULEX staff will visit towns throughout Kosovo to meet people and talk about the rule of law and EULEX activities. The tour is a continuation of EULEX weekly school visits, where EULEX prosecutors, judges and police have been discussing their work with students.

Francoise Lambert, Head of EULEX Press Office, explains that EULEX wants to engage more with young people in Kosovo and hear about their dreams and concerns for the future of Kosovo. "The population in Kosovo is overwhelmingly young and geared towards the future, and this future depends very much on Kosovo's ability to move forward in the rule of law, as a precondition for economic development, political stability and European integration. As an EU rule of law mission we want to show to Kosovo's youth that we are a partner in bringing about these positive developments in Kosovo", Lambert said.

The tour throughout Kosovo will be done with a EULEX mini-van carrying the slogan 'We want justice', to express an aspiration of many young people in Kosovo, in which EULEX can help.

The EULEX outreach tour will start on 9 May when EULEX will be present on Mother Theresa street (Pristina) as part of the EU day celebrations. EULEX Head of Mission Bernd Borchardt will be present at the EULEX stand from 11.00.
