Empowering women - empowering society! UNMIK radio interviews EULEX women

08 March 2015

Every year on 8 March, International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. This year’s theme, "Empowering Women - Empowering Humanity: Picture It!" envisions a world where each woman and girl can exercise her choices, such as getting an education, having an income, living in societies free from violence and discrimination and participating in politics.

Radio Ophelia went to EULEX, the EU Rule of law mission in Kosovo and asked local and international women working in the rule of law sector, about their experiences of forging careers in what could be described as a man’s world. Let’s listen to them.
