The Joint Rule of Law Coordination Board meeting, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci, and Head of Mission of EULEX Kosovo, Yves de Kermabon, today held its eleventh meeting in the new EULEX HQ.
At the meeting, EULEX presented to the Kosovo government the Programme Report, the first comprehensive assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Kosovo’s Rule of Law institutions since the European mission was launched in December last year.
Other issues have been discussed such as the judicial system in Northern Kosovo, the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court and the implementation of the property law.
The Head of Mission of EULEX Kosovo, Yves de Kermabon, has taken the opportunity of this JRCB to reiterate that <EULEX does not negotiate with Belgrade. There have been technical meetings with Belgrade, Tirana, Skopje and Podgorica to fight organized crime, trafficking and to improve exchange of information in the fields of Justice, Customs and Police.>.
