10 February 2023
On 10 February, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) donated 36 items including laptops, desktop computers, monitors and a camera to Kosovo Agency for the Administration of Sequestrated or Confiscated Assets (AMSCA).
The donation will facilitate AMSCA’s daily work, which is to preserve and manage sequestrated or confiscated assets in cooperation with the prosecution, the courts and other competent bodies.
The Head of Mission of EULEX Kosovo, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, handed over the IT equipment to AMSCA’s Acting Director General, Enver Krasniqi, and to the Acting Director of Directorate for Admission, Evaluation, Preservation of Valuation and Selling of Sequestrated and Confiscated Assets, Alban Sutaj, who expressed their gratitude for the donation and support that they are receiving from EULEX in implementing the Agency’s mandate.
The Mission has been cooperating with AMSCA for nearly a year by sharing its expertise and know-how in the field of sequestration and confiscation of assets, in order to help the Agency implement efficient working mechanisms.
In the upcoming months, EULEX will also deliver a training course on the issue of seizure and confiscation targeting practitioners, prosecutors and judges, where representatives from AMSCA will have the opportunity to present the Agency’s work and exchange knowledge with among participants.
