On 21 June, the Head of the Human Resources Division of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Anita Janassary, joined the online workshop “Strategic Communication and Women's Representation in Civilian EU's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Missions”.  The workshop focused on sharing experiences and good practices in the area of strategic communication to enhance the outreach to women candidates, and it was organized under the umbrella of the Civilian CSDP Compact in collaboration with the European Centre of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management (CoE).

Janassary gave a brief presentation about EULEX’s efforts in leveraging inclusive communication to increase the interest of more female candidates in joining the Mission.

The online discussion was part of a series of workshops aimed at sharing experiences, good practices and challenges by Member States and EU institutions to remove existing barriers, broaden the pool of women candidates and improve women's recruitment and retention into civilian CSDP missions.

EULEX is fully committed to the inclusion of a gender perspective in all of its activities, both within the Mission as well as in its work with Kosovo institutions and society. The Mission is committed to highlighting the role of women experts in the sector of rule of law in Kosovo, including through its feature stories’ initiative  “Women in the rule of law”.
