With a wreath laying ceremony, EULEX’s Italian contingent commemorates flight 3275 plane crash victims

27 October 2020

21 years ago, on 12 November 1999, a UN World Food Program-chartered aircraft, known as flight 3275, crashed on mount Piceli, north-east of Mitrovica, resulting in the tragic loss of 24 women and men, mostly international officials and humanitarian workers.

On 25 October, representatives of the international community, including the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo, Nicola Orlando, the KFOR Commander, Major General Michele Risi, as well as members of EULEX’s Italian contingent, honoured the memory of the 24 plane crash victims by laying a wreath at the site of the accident.
