On 19 August 2026, the new Head of Mission of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Antero Lopes, held a fruitful first meeting with the Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

Lopes reasserted EULEX's commitment to engaging in a constructive dialogue with its rule of law counterparts, with the aim to advance institutional accountability, justice, and lasting stability for all communities in Kosovo.
