On 12 March 2026, a group of professors and students from the Institute of East European Law of Kiel University, Germany, visited the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) as part of a study visit aimed at learning about CSDP Missions.

The group was welcomed by EULEX Senior Political Advisor Sara Barbieri, who introduced the Mission’s operational context within the framework of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).

During the presentation, the guests learned about the evolution of EULEX’s mandate over time and the breadth and complexity of the Mission’s work in supporting selected Kosovo rule of law institutions. Attention was also given to EULEX’s efforts to contribute to the promotion of human rights for everyone, without discrimination.
