On the 3^rd of June 2025, 19 Kosovo Police officers were awarded certificates by the Head of Mission of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano after successfully completing specialized courses in Albanian, Serbian, and English language.

Organized by EULEX in partnership with the IBCM - International Business College Mitrovica, the courses were part of the second phase of the EULEX-supported project “Support to Kosovo Police to Improve Communication with the Local Population in northern Kosovo.”

Running from March to May 2025, the courses have helped officers strengthen their capacity to communicate in the languages of the communities they serve - as mandated by Kosovo legal framework.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to improving Kosovo Police’s ability to engage and connect effectively with all communities, as well as to enhance cooperation among officers of different backgrounds working in northern Kosovo.
