About Training
In the modern CSDP operations, training activities are part of the operation from the mission planning process to the ongoing operation itself. Plans for the training are included into the mission planning documents, CONOPS (Concept of Operations) and OPLAN (Operation Plan).
EULEX has drafted a Training Concept that is an annex to the CONOPS and approved by the European Union Member states as a part of other mission plans and activities.
Training is about Learning.
All mission members will be experts and professionals of different fields of expertise. However, it is not the same to work as a police officer, a judge or a prosecutor at home and in the own country or town as it is in the mission in Kosovo or elsewhere, with new and different challenges, new tasks and duties and as a part of a broad and integrated rule of law mission.
Training is much about Learning. One module in training can have list of the learning objectives, but actually training has only one objective – learning process of the participant. Learning is not difficult – in the modern world life is learning, life-long learning.
