Welcome to the EULEX Training

Dear Friends of Training and Learning,

These web-pages serve the EU Member states and other states, Training Centers, Trainers and individual mission members - simply it serves both the ones training and the ones learning.

Very seldom it is as easy as now to motivate all for the training and learning for the mission – EULEX Kosovo would be the biggest civilian crisis management operation carried out by the EU under the ESDP until now. In addition to its size, also the challenge and expectations have been recognized inside and outside the EU. It is publicly stated, that the planned mission is the most complex and ambitious in the European Union's history.

Old stories from the past missions tell that there were only two requirements for the mission members, to speak English and drive a four-wheel vehicle. Things have changed drastically – for the EULEX mission in Kosovo all mission members need to know for example what ESDP stands for, and how the EU makes the difference and brings added-value to its work in Kosovo.

Training is essential part of the mission quality, which will ensure the difference and added-value by the EU. Training is part of the new concept of Best Practices that will not come true without active training and active learning - by the states and the individuals - those who train and those who learn!
