Five convicted by Mitrovica Basic Court

A panel of three EULEX judges at the Basic Court of Mitrovica convicted two persons for criminal association with intent to commit murder and three others on drug-related charges.

  • Bujar Feta was found guilty of criminal association with intent to commit murder and sentenced to 24 months imprisonment. The remaining charge against him was rejected.
  • Eroll Jahiri was found guilty of criminal association with intent to commit murder and sentenced to 24 months imprisonment. The remaining charges against him were rejected.
  • Ekrem Hoti was found guilty of unauthorised purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and sentenced to three (3) years and six (6) months imprisonment. The remaining charges against him were rejected.
  • Eltion Bushi was found guilty of unauthorised purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and sentenced to four (4) years and six (6) months imprisonment. He was found not guilty of the other charges against him.
  • Fitim Miftari was found guilty of unauthorised purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and sentenced to one (1) year of imprisonment with the sentence suspended for a verification period of one year and six months. He was found not guilty of the other charges against him.

The defendants Bujar Feta, Ekrem Hoti and Eroll Jahiri entered in a plea agreement with the prosecutor.

The case was investigated and prosecuted by a local special prosecutor but represented in court by a EULEX special prosecutor from Kosovo's Special Prosecution Office (SPRK).
