Four persons found guilty in narcotics case

A panel of three EULEX judges at the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica District Court convicted four persons for unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The trial panel found Kreshnik Nila guilty on two counts of unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and one count of unauthorized ownership, control, possession or use of weapons. Nila was sentenced to an aggregate punishment of four years and six months of imprisonment and eight hundred Euros fine.

Avni Peci and Esad Ademi were convicted to two years of imprisonment, suspended for three years, and a fine of five hundred Euros for the criminal offence of unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

Sami Rrahmani was convicted to eighteen months of imprisonment, suspended for two years, and a fine of five hundred Euros for the criminal offence of unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The case was prosecuted by a EULEX District prosecutor.
