Supreme Court upholds murder conviction

A mixed panel of judges, presided over by a EULEX judge at the Supreme Court, upheld the conviction of the first instance court against Danil Nokaj for the criminal offences of murder in co-perpetration.

The Supreme Court rejected the appeals filed by the defendant and the injured party as ungrounded, thus upholding the first instance judgment.

Danil Nokaj was convicted by the District Court of Pejë/Peć in October 15, 2010. The first instance court found him guilty for shooting and killing Dede Allakaj and Tune Allakaj at Ure e Jakes in the village of Marmullë, municipality of Pejë/Peć in cooperation with previously convicted Anton Nokaj and Simon Nokaj.

Danil Nokaj was sentenced to a punishment of twenty five (25) years of imprisonment.
