Correctional Unit
The EULEX Correctional Unit (CU) is working in close cooperation with Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS), to support their commitment in becoming a self sustaining and independent institution that is free of political interference and thereby being able to deliver an accountable contribution to the rule of law in Kosovo.
EULEX CU has become a dynamic unit where new ways of implementing necessary prison reform initiatives are constantly under development. The visions and ideas within the Unit have resulted in the completion of a comprehensive internal review that have shown a more efficient way of using staff resources within the unit to achieve activities under our MMA (Mentoring, Monitoring and Advising) mandate.
