“There has been progress in Kosovo”

The EULEX head of Mission Yves de Kermabon met Ulrike Lunacek, Rapporteur on Kosovo for the European Parliament on 29 April 2010 in EULEX Headquarters in Pristina.

Head of Mission gave a general presentation on the mission’s current state and the close coordination between EULEX and the other EU presences in Kosovo.

At the occasion of her four day visit to Kosovo, Member of the European Parliament Ulrike Lunacek met EU Facilitator for the North, Italian Ambassador Michael Giffoni in the EU House on 30 April 2010.


While visiting the North of Kosovo Ms Lunacek also met local representatives of civil society for an exchange of views on topics related to the EU integration process.

During a brief press point held at the EU House in North Mitrovica the EP rapporteur for Kosovo, Ms.Lunacek, commented on joint engagement of the European Commission, EULEX mission and EU Facilitator.

"There has been progress in Kosovo on many issues. The EU with all its institutions is determined to take this process further. I am happy to be able to report back to the European Parliament about witnessing the joint effort the EU is showing in the North of Kosovo, engaging with civil society and the authorities. Successful projects of all kinds can improve the quality of life of all citizens."

Ms Lunacek completed her visit to North Mitrovica by visiting EULEX staff members working at the Gate1.
