Verdict in Trading of Influence in Co-perpetration case

Yesterday at the Basic Court of Pristina, two defendants H.T. and B.D. were convicted of the offence of Trading in Influence in Co-perpetration in violation of Articles 345 (1) and 23 CCK 2003.

The case involved an allegation two defendants had been offered and received an undue advantage of 200,000 EUR in return for agreeing to exert an improper influence over the decision making of official persons from the Privatisation Agency of Kosovo prior to a bid ceremony that took place on 20.05.2009 for the privatisation of  an area of agricultural land near to the village of Muzakaj. Each of the defendants was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of fifteen months (15) and a Confiscation Order in the sum of 200,000 euros was made. The case was conducted by an international prosecutor from SPRK. All parties have the right to appeal
